The XI Latin-American Regional Encounter, IFA 2019, was held from 29 to 31 May 2019 at the Megapolis Convention Centre, in Panama City. The Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange participated as a Gold Co-Sponsor of the event with the Curaçao International Financial Center (CIFC), and 6 other Curaçao well-known companies.

DCSX was represented by our Commercial Officer Diana Intriago Cordova. The Conference program had the following focal points examined on round table discussions by tax experts:

• The Latin-American economy and government tax entities;
• The tax criteria for digital economy companies;
• Updates on International tax regulations and tax incentives;
• Analysis of the financial crisis in Latin-America on the past 10 years;
• Challenges of the tax world within the new era, Blockchain technology, and cryptocurrencies.

We had the honor of the visit of His Excellency Dirk Janssen – Ambassador of The Kingdom of The Netherlands in Panama, who showed his support on the efforts to engage business relationships with Curaçao and Panama.
