We are very happy to announce that as of May 19, 2021, the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (“DCSX”) became an affiliate of the Holland House Colombia. Holland House Colombia as a Chamber of Commerce is the bridge that connects companies and organizations in Colombia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with the aim of leveraging internationalization and boosting business growth.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands consists of four countries The Netherlands (“Holland”), Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten, and the special municipalities of Bonaire, Saba, and Saint Eustatius. The Netherlands is the 16th strongest global economy and is known for having a large-scale open economy, which makes it a country dependent on the trade it maintains with other countries. At present, the Netherlands is considered the main European partner of Colombia, with an exponential increase in its exports to the orange country in the last 10 years. At the same time, Colombia has become one of the main commercial partners in Latin America for the Netherlands due to the remarkable growth of Foreign Direct Investment and its contributions of knowledge in the different sectors of Colombian development. On the other hand, Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten have made Colombia a strategic partner taking into account its geographical proximity and the fact that these islands need to import most of their products to supply domestic demand. According to the Holland House Colombia 70% of the islands’ GDP comes from tourism, which shows that there is an excellent opportunity for Colombian exporters who want to internationalize their companies by exporting to the islands of the Dutch Caribbean.
