The Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (“DCSX”) participated in the Curaçao Economic Mission organized by the Ministry of Economic Development that participated in the 35th edition of FIHAV 2017 (Feria International de la Habana), with the presence of Minister Steven Martina. FIHAV is one of the most important annual international trades fair where countries around the world send their representatives both from the public and private sector to participate. At first glance, the fair is very impressive because of its magnitude.
The Curaçao Mission stands were located in the Dutch Kingdom pavilion. The Dutch Kingdom pavilion was inaugurated on October 31 and the Kingdom was represented by 17 companies from the Netherlands and 23 companies from Curaçao. We had the amazing opportunity to meet with representatives of Cuban companies but also with representatives of other participating countries like China, Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Panama, Ecuador, Trinidad & Tobago. It was a unique opportunity to meet new business contacts and we are very glad we got the opportunity to participate this year.
Our main propose for participating in this Economic Mission is to present our company and bring our services to Cuba. With the collaboration of the Dutch Embassy in Cuba, the Curaçao Ministry of Economic and the Cuban Ministerio del Comercio Exterior y la Inversión Extranjera (Mincex) we were able to attend a meeting with Cuban representatives. During this meeting, we presented our company and what we could offer to Cuba. The representatives were very interested in receiving more knowledge about the investment world which we gladly will arrange. DCSX in cooperation with its partners is in the position to assist with providing knowledge and guidance on how to move forward on the route of looking for finance.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Economic Development for providing the opportunity to participate in this Economic Mission.
