An interesting educational meeting/presentation was organized at one of the local High schools in Curaçao (KAP) where the DCSX explained to the students the importance of the creation of a local capital market as part of sustainable economic growth on the Island.
On behalf of the DCSX Messrs. René Römer (DCSX CEO) and Timo Nieuwland (intern student studying Business Administration at the Erasmus University Rotterdam) explained how the raising of capital on an exchange works. Students were very active with their questions and appreciated learning how a combination of traditional bank financing with capital raising on the DCSX can increase the chance for businesses to get off the ground a/o expand.
Enthusiasm was great and “ we will definitely do more of these” , quoting Mr. Römer after the presentation.
