On March 27, 2017 the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (DCSX) was a co-sponsor with Curaçao International Financial Center (CIFC) at the 6th Annual Private Wealth Brazil Forum, held at the Renaissance Hotel in São Paulo. More than thirty speakers from the most prestigious family offices, private banks, law firms, asset management firms and auditors joined over 150 participants to discuss the future of the Brazilian economy and how will it affect asset management, wealth planning, jurisdictions, and offshore investments in Latin America’s largest market.
The round table entitled “How to Select a Jurisdiction?” hosted by Mr. Herman Behr, founder of HBM Group, and the presentation “Curaçao: Mais Brasileiro do que Você Pode Imaginar” held by Mr. Thomas Domhoff, from CIFC, rose a lot of interest in Curaçao and in the numerous possibilities our jurisdiction can provide to the Brazilian private wealth business.
The DCSX was able to present to clients and intermediaries solutions regarding wealth management were a listing on its exchange could bring several advantages for internationally operating groups who always need to be prepared for a possible next round of capital raising. Curaçao’s historical hub-function and proximity makes the island an ideal location for Brazilians to set-up their private wealth and family international financing structures.
