On November 29, 2018, the CIFC (Curaçao International Financial Center) organized a breakfast session at Restaurante Tamarine at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bogota, Colombia. The breakfast session was an opportunity to showcase the opportunities for doing international business in Curaçao. The event was sponsored by the DCSX, EY, HBM Group, SAIBANK, Cinex, Deloitte, Grant Thornton and SGG Corporate & Fund Administrative Services.

The event started with welcome words from the Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao, Drs. Steven Martina. Julian Lopez Ramirez, Partner Deloitte Dutch Caribbean, provided insights into the opportunities from a tax perspective to the Colombian business owners and investors who are considering looking at Curaçao as a hub for their international business. Terrence Melendez, Senior Tax Manager at EY, discussed the protection of assets and restructuring within the Curaçao jurisdiction. Our CEO, René Römer, discussed the opportunities of alternative financing possibilities for capital raising for international expansion and why bringing international listings to Curaçao is so attractive.

This event was a great opportunity for us to showcase in Colombia the opportunities of raising capital through a securities exchange.
