The Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange participated at the second Foro International de Emisores De Los Mercados de Valores de Las Americas (FIMVA) held on June 27 and 28, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Corobici, in San Jose – Costa Rica.
The event was organized by Amerca and Bolsa National de Valores. AMERCA is the Association of Capital Markets of the Americas, formed by the Stock Exchanges of Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panamá and República Dominicana.
This alliance of Exchanges was founded in 1994 (previously called BOLCEN) with the purpose of promoting the markets in the region, strengthen their border cooperation, and build a common market with easy access for issuers and investors.
DCSX received the direct invitation of Costa Rica Stock Exchange and was represented by Diana Intriago Cordova (Commercial Officer) and Nadira Martina (Project Coordinator). The event was developed in three segments, Conferences, Exhibitions, and networking sessions.
The public was able to see presentations from several exchanges from Panama, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Republica Dominican, and important international corporations and institutions like Bloomberg. The exchanges, institutions, and corporations participating in the forum were able to exhibit their products and services. The most important segment of the event was the one to one meetings between participating institutions and corporations that were coordinated through the networking platform offered by the organizers.
DCSX had individual meetings with Stock Exchanges, Listing Advisor, Brokers, issuers and rating agencies from the members of AMERCA, making great contacts to generate new business opportunities.
We are grateful to the Costa Rican Stock Exchange “Bolsa Notional de Valores” for this great opportunity to learn more about the Latin American Market.
